Welcome to the Alpha Gamma Lambda Omega Chapter of

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, proudly serving the
Detroit-Eastside, Harper Woods, and the Grosse Pointes
communities. Chartered on December 8, 2024, our chapter is a
beacon of service, leadership, and sisterhood in the Great Lakes
Region.

As the first four-letter chapter in this esteemed region, we are
committed to continuing the legacy of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Incorporated® by making a lasting impact in the communities we
serve. Rooted in the values of commitment, collaboration, and
community empowerment, our chapter focuses on initiatives that
align with the international program theme Soaring to Greater
Heights of Service and Sisterhood.

This administration's six initiatives aim to strengthen bonds and uplift communities.

Strengthen Our Sisterhood serves as the Foundation Initiative, supporting five Program Initiatives:
Empower Our Families, Build Our Economic Wealth, Enhance Our Environment, Advocate for Social
Justice, and Uplift Our Local Community. Together, these efforts promote service, progress, and
leadership to create meaningful change.

Our Visionaries

These three remarkable women helped shape a vision to serve the underserved communities of Detroit,
Harper Woods, and the Grosse Pointes. Through their dedication and leadership, they provided the Detroit
Renaissance Pearls Interest Group with the opportunity to fulfill its mission of rendering service to all mankind.
